An intern of mine had me reading The Only Good Indians by Stephen Graham Jones two autumns ago. It’s pretty good and he’s written quite a few novels if you enjoy his style.

Anything by Darcy Coates.
I loved the Gravekeeper series but she has several standalone novels that are good reads.

hell house richard matheson
pet semetary if you have children stephen king
silence of the lambs if you like hannibal lecter
at the mountains of madness the graphic novel is beautiful h.p. lovecraft
the necronomicon short stories h.p. lovecraft
strange weather joe hill specifically the first story this is stephen kings son and he even says his sons work scares him.
do not read shirley jacksons the haunting at hill house unless you truly fear being alone as your main fear because otherwise you will be bored to tears as well with her other book. the netflix seires is nothing like the book and the closest movie to the book is actually the haunting with liam nelson. and hell house has the same premise and is actually scary.
