I have been this way my entire life. I am a very sensitive person and take everything personal and I cry so very easily. If i’m given corrective feedback, I cry. If i’m put on the spot to speak on a topic at work, I get teary eyed. My first reaction to anything that makes me even slightly uncomfortable is to cry. Any suggestions to help with my emotional intelligence and being able to control my crying a bit much? I know to an extent crying is healthy and normal but i’m crying at least once a day over minor inconveniences.

The Handbook For Highly Sensitive People by Mel Collins. I also encourage you to seek out a licensed therapist. Sending love and light. ❤️
In my experience- and I had the same problem when I was young- was to get counseling- there is some reason you’re so emotional- talk to someone.
The Modern Trauma Toolkit by Dr Christy Gibson. She’s a genius and an amazing person (I used to work with her and saw what she was able to accomplish with patients).
Read the book about Highly Sensitive People (HSP) i forget the author’s name. Being highly sensitive is tough but also comes with many wonderful traits.
