I have a 16 hour drive in my future that I’d like an audio book for. Thing is, I’ve never listened to one and expect it to be a different experience.
Any recommendations? I typically enjoy fantasy (all subsets) and sci-fi but am open to any suggestions.

Stephen King’s The Institute is a great audiobook.
We listened to it recently on a road trip and even my teens took their headphones off and listened.
Project Hail Mary
Dresden files by Jim butcher or hitchhikers guide by Adams are both great audiobooks
The Project Hail Mary audiobook by Andy Weir narrated by Ray Porter is excellent.
Just drove my parents from New York State to Florida. We listened to the Thursday Murder Club. Cozy British mystery, not specifically what you’re requesting, but there’s enough twists and turns it kept me awake. Narrator is awesome
The Lord of the Rings trilogy narrated by Andy Serkis. Literally anything narrated by him.
Midnight’s Children by Salman Rushdie could be a good choice.
