Yes. I like to make them relate to the book. The best I’ve managed so far is Turkish bus tickets inside the copy of Orhan Pamuk’s *The New Life* I was reading while travelling round Turkey by bus. (Read the book and you’ll get the point…)

I use bookmarks. Somehow I have a stack of them that I picked up at various museums, etc. or got in the mail with donation information. It’s a never-ending pile, so not a big deal if I lose one.

I use a dollar bill
