    Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening!

I recently started working in an academic library and they’re in the middle of their weeding process. As a result, we have a crapton of books being packed up and thrown out. I’ve taken the liberty of stealing a lot of the books to make crafts. However, I’ve noticed a lot of these books are in really good condition or look genuinely interesting and just haven’t been checked out since 19XX. A lot are also so old that they don’t have an ISBN or anything like that. I was wondering if you all had any recommendations for where I could sell these books or give them away?

As someone who also loves old books, in the gentlest way possible, I think throwing them out or giving them to other crafters (listing a free lot on FB marketplace, maybe?) is likely your best bet. Coming from an academic library, I’m betting a lot of them were weeded not just because they haven’t been checked out in more than 20 years, but because the information they contain on the topic may no longer be accurate or up to date based on new findings, research, and ways of understanding. Unless the books you have are rare editions or still relevant in their given fields, I think your options are going to be somewhat limited.
