Hello all! Title is pretty self-explanatory. I’ve recently cut someone off from my life and I’m looking to get back into reading. I used to read tons and kind of regret sacrificing this hobby due to uni and academic texts overwhelming my life.
The last series I read was the Broken Earth Trilogy written by Jemisin, N. K. I loved the trilogy not only for its amazing storytelling and character development, but also for its interesting written style (entire sections narrated from the second person point of view) and the social appreciation/critique undertones it carries.
I’m looking for something similar to sink my teeth into in an attempt to transport myself into a separate world and distract myself during this period. I’d love to hear your suggestions.
