So i have a audition for a school of acting in 11 days. And one of the audition requiriments is to do a 3 minute monologue from one of the autors that they send us. I swear to god i didnt know not even 3 names that they were in that list. Then i recognized woody allens name. And said why not. But in reality i dont know any book or movie from him. And worst i have to read it to make a monologue. So someone who read something from him. Can help me fin a book whos is good for an audition?

There’s a famous monologue from his movie “Annie Hall”: [https://genius.com/Woody-allen-annie-hall-opening-monologue-annotated](https://genius.com/Woody-allen-annie-hall-opening-monologue-annotated)

And another from “Hannah and Her Sisters”: [https://www.monologuedb.com/comedic-male-monologues/hannah-and-her-sisters-mickey-sachs/](https://www.monologuedb.com/comedic-male-monologues/hannah-and-her-sisters-mickey-sachs/)

Woody Allen writes and directs all his films, and until relatively recently, starred in them as well. He plays essentially the same character in all of them: a neurotic, middle-aged man who’s afraid of dying alone and unloved and who constantly gets in his own way. (His characters are often EXTREMELY horny and chase after beautiful young women.) If you think you can play a character like this convincingly, then go for it. If not, who are some of the other options on the list? I might be able to help you out.

    2. Woody Allen is a movie writer/director, not a novelist – so you’re in the wrong sub for this! (But the previous poster had some good ideas anyway).
