Well, it’s hard to beat Hail Mary Project. That was a pretty phenomenal achievement, and personal favorite of mine. Both the book itself and the audio book bridged some barriers – it got people who don’t normally like reading science fiction cheering, and people who normally fall asleep listening to audiobooks hanging on by their fingernails.

If you’re looking for an exciting, uplifting action and adventure non-fiction memoir that is kind of similarly genre-bending, try [Striving: Adventures of a Female Journalist in a Man’s World, A True Story](https://www.amazon.com/gp/r.html?C=2RAE2U8PC4D2F&K=1N818EBSQC1HH&M=urn:rtn:msg:202310050754555723268c93e146b7b250638bdc10p0na&R=2ZGCA7FBZEKLG&T=C&U=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fdp%2FB0CJD6MGL3%3Fref_%3Dpe_3052080_397683930&H=VRAGF0BKX4FK4GBO91AZBJJWAESA&ref_=pe_3052080_397683930), by Jo Thomas. There’s a “Look Inside” feature on the Amazon.com page that lets you preview about 10% of the book right on the website – if the preface doesn’t immediately grab you and make you want to read more, then I guess it’s not the book for you, but I’ve suggested it to a lot of people and it hasn’t failed me yet.
