Yeah. People get furious about it, but it’s a thoughtful reflection on the global order that’s worth knowing about. Most people who talk about it are really just talking about the title, but there’s certainly more to it than that.

If you live today but still believe that the history ended because the whole world has finally become liberal after the collapse of the USSR, then yes.

Since I wrote my thesis on democratisation and democratic backsliding, and since I hail from Central Eastern Europe, I say no, personally reading this book was neither very useful, nor very entertaining and my uni lecturers didn’t take it very seriously either. But if you feel like reading something, you always should.
