I’m looking for a book on the daily life of the roman Army and it’s soldiers. Makeup, how the roman army traveled, feed itself, protect it’s columns and camps, camp followers, how they fought, built seige engines, etc.
Thanks in advance, Doyle

Conn Iggulden wrote a fictional series based on Cesear and Brutus, one of the best book I ever read tbh and they have all the things you mentioned and the series does well to highlight what Ancient Rome looked like 👍
Stephen Dando-Collins has written two great books about the Roman Army:
* “Legions of Rome: The definitive history of every Roman legion”
* “Caesar’s Legion: The Epic Saga of Julius Caesar’s Elite Tenth Legion and the Armies of Rome”
