The last book that I really really liked was Eileen by Ottessa Mosfegh. I like Stephen King but I want a more female centric feel. I LOVE Ray Bradbury.
I actually don’t like anything else by Ottessa Moshfegh tho, she does too much of the gross prose in her other stuff. Like describing the carpet as urine colored for no good reason. Not that Eileen didn’t have that, it just fit the character enough to allow it.
I want something dark, mysterious, intriguing, suspenseful.
But also I want something feminine, dreamy and beautiful.
