I’m looking for a pro-police state / pro surveillance book; something along the lines of the opposite argument to Snowden/Greenwald. I wanna hear the case for the other side. I wanna hear the people who think that mass surveillance is good, or necessary, or important. I’m not looking for outright fascism; I just wanna pair these books with a contrarian perspective. As morally offensive as it may be, as counter to a sense of freedom or privacy… I want to consider the perspective nonetheless.

Read something written by Stalin or something lmao
Maybe look into True Crime? I know BTK and the Golden State Killer were caught because the authorities had access to some pretty scarily private genetic information.
The Golden State Killer was caught because a relative did one of those “swab your cheek, learn your heritage” tests. BTK was verified based on genetic comparison to his daughter’s college pap smears.
