Looking for a short contemporary book with an unhinged character (preferably female character). Just want a short fast book with a lot of drama, laughs and twist and turns. Books like: Big swiss, Animal by lisa taddeo, My husband and natural beauty.

I was just about to suggest Big Swiss and then I reread your comment haha… I love that one!
But maybe try My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite, Everyone in This Room Will Someday Be Dead by Emily Austin, and both Bunny and All’s Well by Mona Awad. The first one and last two aren’t really laugh out loud funny but have their own bizarre type of humor and definitely are unhinged. You might also like Strong Female Character by Fern Brady, which is a memoir about a comedian who finds out later in life that she’s autistic. It’s hilarious and unhinged.
As a fellow lover of unhinged women in books, I’d suggest Hurricane Girl by Marcy Dermansky, Cover Girl by Susan Rigetti, or Sisters by Daisy Johnson. They all have very different vibes, but not a hinge to be found amongst them. Obviously anything by Mona Awad or Ottessa Mosfegh will also fit the bill.
