Hi. Sorry if the title is not descriptive enough as English is not my firdt language. Im looking for a book or bookseries where genre is scifi but the scifi element is grounded to normal world (for example time machine or other scifi tool). Usually when I ask scifi books I get dystopies or books that are based on highly advanced civilisations.
So in short: normal world with exception of one or few scifi elements that are highly relevant to the story.
Also I would prefer if the book is also not too heavy as I am not a very experienced reader. But no childrens books either.
