They can be comics too. She is being read books by my mother each night. But i want to introduce her to read on her own. I have to nail it to make her first memory of a book something that makes her want to continue the journey.

I loved Junie B Jones at that age! 🙂 i also loved the Amelia’s Notebook series. It looks like a girl’s journal, complete with drawings that go with the stories.
