Looking for books that will make me sad. Stories where a couple meet and fall in love, but can’t be together/break up because of society, death, bad timing, etc. Stories that may have no happy endings. I know Wuthering Heights is one, and but I can’t think of any other titles. Thanks!

Try Villette by Charlotte Bronte.
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte and Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden somewhat fits your description.
“The Things We Can Not Say” by Kelly Rimmer. Alternating stories written in first person that come together beautifully. (One current day Florida and the other occupied Poland WW2). Bittersweet historical fiction. Great audiobook. 4 generations are beautifully blended into a great story of ultimate love and devotion, as well as family bonds.
The Idea of You by Robinne Lee. Check it out before the movie with Anne Hathaway comes out!
