I honestly just want something to do when I have an hour to sit in my car that isn’t scroll on Reddit.
Out of the books I’ve been forced to read, my favorite was The Giver, by Lois lowery
I tend to get super indulged into something, but then easily give things up so I really want something that never gets boring.
Being so new to reading on my own, I’d say 350 pages is the cutoff where I won’t get to overwhelmed
If you have any other questions that would help give an answer please ask. Thank you!

All Systems Red by Martha Wells. It’s novella length, about 156 pages long. It is the start of a series and I love it so much. The series has 6 books, and the first 4 are all about the same length. It’s also a great audiobook.
If you struggle to read a book, try audiobooks or graphic novels. Check out your local library and they can give you great recs and you can get books for free! If you prefer reading on a device, you can download the Libby app and use your library card to check out books.
The giver has a few sequels that are pretty good. Enders game is a good one that has a similar vibe to the giver but is a wider setting. Ready player one is a good fast paced story that is fun. The Martian was written in short chucks so it has a nice pace I think.
I adore World War Z. It’s pretty great.
The Magus by John Fowles. Mystery/thriller type story. I couldn’t stop reading it. Only downside considering your criteria is it’s almost 700 pages, but it was the first one I thought of.
Another good book that’s not quite as addictive but still great is Flowers for Algernon (novel). Reasonably short length, quite memorable, easy to read.
