I cannot handle even one page of The Secret History, no matter how many praise posts I see online. 🫠 I tried to look up deeper meanings and the author’s purpose behind it but couldn’t find any. Please convince me that there’s more to it. I’d love to understand.
And of course I’d love to know your choices for my question 🙋♀️

A Prayer For Owen Meany no matter how many times I’ve tried.
Lord of the Rings. Specifically The Hobbit. I found it so boring and had a hard time following everything. Same goes for the movies – not my thing
Harry potter books, As for why, the Author, first 3 books writings were bland and fact books are about love but the author is hate filled bigot leaves bad taste in my mouth.
Song of Ice and Fire, as for why. it will never be finished.

The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. Which seems odd ’cause I love everything by SK–I just can’t get into it at all.
I hate 100 Years of Solitude. I don’t know why, but it makes me want to stab the book with a fork. I loved No One Writes to the Colonel, but I just can’t manage 100 Years
