I want some science fiction “xenfiction” told from the perspective of primitive aliens.
I think I’m looking for a first contact story or two. Something from the perspective of less advanced aliens meaning more advanced humans for the first time.
At least part of *Mother of Demons* by Eric Flint fits this.
It’s a sort of reverse Lovecraft situation, with alien land squids and the arrival of ancient and terrifying knowledge during the bronze age. About half the story is from the point of view of the squids and they are not prepared for the arrival of humans from beyond the depths of space.
It’s also one of the first books added to the Baen Free Library and still available online

A short story called *The Road Not Taken* by Harry Turtledove fits the bill.
