Hey ! I recently finished two very different stories, i.e. Attack on Titans (manga) and Dune (sci-fi novel saga) and I found a common pattern in those two stories: At some point, both main characters Eren Yeager and Paul Atreides have access to some sort of divine omniscience allowing them to navigate through past and present how they want and being able to see every possible future. However, due to their initial human nature, both feel overwhelmed by the astronomic amount of power they have and are unable to stop the process of war they created.
I want to know other books (no matter the genre) with this pattern, insisting on the feeling of powerlessness of the character after omniscience.
