MM is tied with the Sopranos as my favorite show of all time. I’ve watch it through 6 or 7 times and always find more layers that I love. I always thought it was a very literary show and wonder what books other fans of it like.
Of course Mad Men is not really about advertising. It’s just set in that world.
Can anyone recommend any books layered and covering different periods and themes of American life such as business culture, men vs women on all battlefields, introspection, addiction, parenthood, marriage, infidelity, fatalism, and on and on?
