I've had to take a recent step back from the likes of 'Booktube', 'Bookstagram' etc… due to a bit of over saturation from these platforms.
I started to feel as though 99% of the posts were about 'life changing' and deeply impacting books. I know this probably says more about me than the posts themselves but I started to become a bit too focused on such books and lost some of the love of reading for the pleasure of it!
All is not lost however, as I've recently finished a couple of short, well written books that had little pretense to be anything but damn good stories. It was so refreshing to just read a couple of free flowing, interesting and action packed stories with great scene setting and characters.
This lead to me think of a more interesting title for book related social media post and I'd be keen for you to fill in the blanks…
'[insert book title and author] won't change your life, but read it anyway if you like [insert favoured genre / guilty pleasure]'
