Historical lesbian romance novels?

Any recommendations for wlw romances (non-binary accepted as well), preferably set in some historical period?

Essentially I'm looking for romance novels that capture a similar feel to Call Me By Your Name, Maurice or Swimming In The Dark, only genders reversed. It would be great if the prose itself is also similar to these examples. I don"t necessarily like books that are too straightforward and solely rely on steamy bits or erotic descriptions. I'm specifically looking for the slow build-up and the utter confusion when you can't be sure what the other person thinks.
