I'm looking for something that has a good overarching story, not too deep in hard SF, more anti-heroes than heroes. My reading is all over the place – I really enjoyed the Murderbot Diaries, The Expanse books, anything by John Le Carre, and Mick Herron's Slow Horses.

I haven’t read Slow Horses, but here’s some you might like:
* The Wayfarers series by Becky Chambers. The books can be read in any order, and imo A Closed and Common Orbit feels the most similar to the Murderbot diaries because it’s from the perspective of an AI trying to adapt to independent life.
* Provenance by Ann Leckie, or the Imperial Radch series by Ann Leckie. These books take place in the same universe, but I enjoyed Provenance the most.
* The Bel Dame Apocrypha series by Kameron Hurley. Lots of anti-heroes.
* Blackfish City by Sam J. Miller
