I've decided to watch "Manhunt" on Apple TV but wanted to read a book on the subject first (a quirk of mine w/ historical dramatizations). I know the show is based on the book "Manhunt: The Twelve-Day Chase for Lincoln's Killers" by James Swanson, but I already had "American Brutus" by Michael W. Kauffman so I dug into that. I'm about 2/3 of the way through it and I'm really enjoying it. LOTS of new information I hadn't heard about (not just the assassination but some of the immediate post-CW political/societal period).
Can anyone who's read the "Manhunt" book advise me as to whether or not it's worth reading? I guess it's a toss-up if you haven't read both, but thought I'd ask if the book is a good read or not. Thx!
