Authors like Freida Mc – but BETTER – much better
I need Recs!
Have you ever read so much of an author that you start to realize you’re not really a fan of THEIRS and just a few of their books?
I read Housemaid 1+2 and enjoyed them.
Never Lie was next and I read it in a day. Loved the atmosphere, the house, and just the entire vibe of it all. I’m STOKED it’s been picked up by Netflix and if the director from Wolverine vs. Deadpool really directs it and makes it brutal – it will be great!
However, and here is the issue – I’ve now read:
The Inmate
The Teacher – gross
Ward D
The Locked Door
One by One
Do Nor Disturb
The Boyfriend
And started The Perfect Son
I hate how dumb she makes her female characters, and how they always make poor choices based off handsome men , like there are only 2 left in the world 😬😂 and her stories are very simplistic – which is great for falling asleep or an in between book but I want more.
Authors with crazy twists that maybe make a bit more sense? Or have different characters and aren’t repetitive and eventually predictable.
GIVE ME YOUR RECS!
Recently I’ve loved Jason Relulak! He has two books
Hidden Pictures and Last One At The Wedding and they are so different but SO good and both have this very subtle underlying sentiment of “children and their innocence” that connects them in a way if you pay attention.
Also love Riley Sager, Dean Koontz and Josh Malerman.
