i work with autistic children and young people and am looking for some books to recommend to young girls that have positive autistic/neurodivergent characters in them. particularly books that aren’t directly about autism/neurodiversity and instead are just badass/awesome characters (especially female ones) that happen to be (if that makes sense!)

it doesn’t need to be explicitly said that the characters are autistic, i just want the girls i work with to read books with cool people in them that they can identify with. thinking especially about the girls who find it hard to come to terms with their diagnosis.

    thanks in advance 😊
