I think my niece would like Neil Gaiman and I’m disappointed in myself that I didn’t think of him earlier. This will be for her 18th birthday, so I’m no gonna get her Coraline, but where should she start? In addition to Good Omens, of course, that book is just so weird, I think she’ll love it.

The Graveyard Book or Neverwhere! Both are phenomenal. I loved American Gods too but it was my first book by Gaiman and took a bit of effort at the beginning.
Do get her Coraline! I was about 23 when I first read it and it was still so impactful, I honestly think that it’s a book that every young woman should read.
If you can get your hands on a lovely hardback edition, The Sleeper And The Spindle with illustrations by Chris Riddell is also a really good book for a young woman.
In addition to the two you are already planning on getting, I definitely vote for Neverwhere!
“Stardust” was my favorite of his in my younger days!
