hi!! so im actually looking for book recs for my mum. she has recently become an empty nester after 30 years of always having one of us home, and she is really really struggling. prior to me moving out (but during the period where i knew i would be leaving within a few months), she spoke to my sister and i about how all she is is a mother, she tried so hard to be a good mother that she lost herself in it, and we just want her to love herself the way she loves us. my dad texted my siblings and i that recently my mum has been super depressed (i moved out a month ago) and is really struggling with the fact that her kids dont “need” her anymore. im wondering if anyone has any book recommendations about motherhood, and maybe finding yourself again after being an empty nester? or just finding yourself again while being a mom? or losing yourself to motherhood? thank you!!
