    I live overseas and my childhood best friend lost her son in a tragic accident. I want to send her a care package and I would like to include a book. I have dealt with a lot of grief, nothing like what she is experiencing now, but I do know how particular igrief is so I don't want to send her a book with the typical platitudes.

    Do you have any recommendations?

    The two books that are sticking out are

    2. Hardcore Grief recovery: An honest guide to getting through grief without the condolences, sympathy and other bs by Steve Case

    1. This was asked a few times here or on suggestmeabook. If you type grief into the search of each sub you might find the posts I’m thinking of. There were a TON of answers for non-platitude books I just can’t seem to remember them
