Hi everyone, I am looking for fiction book suggestions to help my mind relax. As a kid I was a nonstop reader, it was my favorite thing to do. I could read several books a month up until the end of high school when I became angsty and rebellious lol. I used to read lots of fiction. In my adult life I force myself to read self help books and I think it’s just made me not enjoy reading like I used to. I’m hoping to find a book/series that will just suck me in and help distract me from daily stress and social media.
For examples some of the books I remember loving were the Left Behind series, House of the Scorpion, and the Shanara Chronicles

I will always recommend Piranesi by Susana Clark though I acknowledge it’s one of the most recommended books on Reddit. It’s a very relaxing, really unique story though. Perfect for getting back into reading
Try All Systems Red by Martha Wells. Easy, short, and very fun.
{{The Invisible Library by Genevieve Cogman}}
– **Kings of the Wyld by Nicholas Eames** (fantasy)
– **Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson** (fantasy)
– **Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card** (SciFi)
I’d also suggest checking out r/fantasy to check out more speculative fiction you might enjoy.
Poke fun all you want, but two of the biggest page-turners for me are *Misery* and *The Da Vinci Code*. You’re bound to catch the reading bug from either.
