I have a long trip coming up and need some good audiobooks to listen to. What are your top audiobooks? I’m open to any genre, any author. Nothing is off limits.
The Wandering Inn – Long Fantasy Series (good for the soul, wholesome adventure, female narrator)
Dungeon Crawler Carl – Long LitRPG Series (funny, much action, male narrator)
The Poppy War – Trilogy (war, magic, female narrator)
Beware of Chicken – Novel Series (good for bedtime, slice of life, farming, funny, male narrator)

*Yellowface* by R F Kuang is amazing as an audiobook! I recommend pretty much anything narrated by Julia Whalen – *The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue*, Emily Henry’s books if you’re into romance, Taylor Jenkins Reid’s books (*The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo*, *Malibu Rising*, *One True Loves*). *Daisy Jones and the Six* is also a great audiobook experience.
I had already read *The Hunger Games* when I was younger but it was also super good narrated by Tatiana Maslany so I would recommend that too!

Samantha Irby is a brilliant, funny author who keeps me laughing every time I listen to her books. I also like listening to self improvement audiobooks like The Mountain is You.

Andy Serkis (the voice actor for Gollum) does The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings and is absolutely brilliant. He has clear and distinct voices for all the characters and at times when you have a conversation between several characters it’s shocking to remember it’s all done by one man. I enjoyed all four immensely!

If you’re open to middle grade fantasy, I recommend [Nevermoor](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/51da4742-ca09-4638-9c93-f13440bff12b) by Jessica Townsend! It’s my favorite series even as an adult, and the audiobooks are really excellent.
