Looking For a Book About Friendship

I am looking for a book that I can gift to a friend once I annotate it for her birthday. She loves to read and we have relatively similar taste, we book like fiction (YA is fine), she is not a huge fan of fantasy or sci-f and definitely nothing with horror. I’m looking into guess for some sort of slice of life book about female friendship, there can definitely be romance but I really just want it to focus on friends growing into their lives together. The best comparison I can really make is a book that feels like the movie “Now and Then”. If it helps my friend and I are both in our early 20s, we met in a college English class, we live together, we love trashy reality shows, cooking, karaoke nights, and late night adventure, there has been our fair share of tears and heartache of course but we’re only human, so any books that contains some of these are a plus.
