Wow! I received an advance copy of this book yesterday, and I'm already recommending it to just about everyone I know. Leibowitz is an incredible researcher; she lived in various parts of the world with extreme winters, including Tromsø, Norway—the northernmost city in the world where the sun doesn't rise for two months. She then collaborated with researchers at Stanford's Mind and Body Lab. What we are left with is a beautifully written book about changing your mindset toward winter. It turns out that people in Tromsø don't experience higher levels of seasonal affective disorder than most; they actually look forward to the long winter. I'm so excited to continue reading and to implement Leibowitz's expertise into my winter life. Let me know if anyone else reads it.
