My boyfriend is a goof that lives on a routine schedule nightly while he battles depression. Every night while I’m making dinner he likes to read out loud the steamy parts of whatever romance book I’m mindlessly reading while I’m traveling for work. Recently I discovered Ali Hazelwood and we both agree those books were pretty good. His personal favorites are Love, Theoretically and Love Hypothesis. I haven’t laughed so hard listening to him read both and actually stop mid sentence to finish reading the scenes. To mess with him, I need some recommendations with really good written ‘spice’ to keep him entertained while I’m cooking. I mean good books that’ll make him question his imagination HA.
Please please please recommend me some books like these because I’m so over the moon watching him joke around and then watch his head spin with the good writing. The only thing I ask is no high fantasy because I’ll never hear the end of it and he might internally combust from laughing too hard. I love him to pieces but he made me watch a 3 hour lore video on FNAF so now I want my revenge.
