For the last few Octobers, I've read some Classic gothic lit and Halloween themed books, or adventure oriented books that give off a "classic halloween" vibe. Here's my list:
- Treasure Island – Robert Louis Stevenson
- Princess Bride – William Golding
- Dracula – Bram Stoker
- Frankenstein – Mary Shelley
- Halloween Tree/Something Wicked This Way Comes – Bradbury
- Dr. Jekyll – RLS
- Haunting at Hill House/We have Always Lived in the Castle – Shirley Jackson
- A Night in the Lonesome October – Roger Zelaszny (I read this every year)
I also read a lot of Stephen King, so not looking for more King suggestions. What else am I missing to prep for this year and years beyond?
