After realizing in June that I was already most of the way through a book title alphabet for the year, I started to backtrack and work on an alphabet of authors’ names.
At this point I have every letter except for Q, X, and for some reason, F. I’m less worried about the F authors since there are far more to choose from, but I’m not finding many with the other two. I also don’t want to just shove in a book that I won’t enjoy, so I’d love recommendations.
My loose rules for the challenge—
-The X or Q can be the initial to the first or last name, within reason. I counted Bessel van der Kolk as a V, for example, but wouldn’t count Ursula K. Le Guin as K or G. I’ve debated using Ibram X. Kendi for X, but wanted to feel out other options since it felt a little like cheating.
-YA or adult books, ideally shorter than about 350 pages— I’ve been sticking to books that I can finish relatively quickly based on my own reading style.
-I haven’t been counting supplemental authors, like one who wrote an intro or translated a previous work, unless they’re listed as the main author.
Thanks in advance!
