Hi,
I was wondering why does Bulgakov introduce the Master so late in the novel, it is the 13th chapter that we meet the character!
I have figured out that the Master somehow links and explains other arcs or motives, such as the motive of the satan (Woland) or the Bible motive (I know that it is not meaningfully a motive but rather a styling in which the Master tells the story of Yeshua Ha-Notsri).
Do you have any other ideas, why did Bulgakov decided to introduce the titlle character so late in the book? What were his intentions about this measure?
