I'm looking for picture books that meet this criteria: "considering the interaction between the illustrations and the text, the quality of both the writing and the illustrations, an appropriate amount of text for the age or developmental stage of the children, illustrations that are large and clear enough to be seen by a group, and the child appeal of the title. For autistic children specifically, additional criteria include taking into account their communication styles and level of social understanding, avoiding slang, idiomatic language, and nonsense words, emphasizing plot over characters and relationships, using realistic illustrations or photographs, and having uncluttered spreads with lots of white space."
