I have found that I rather enjoy books written like this. Specifically like these two books from Michael Crichton.
I’ve read Dragonteeth at least once a year since the first time reading it, and will most likely read Eaters of the Dead just as much. The way he is able to mix reality and fiction without me noticing when it switches makes me enjoy stories/books I otherwise would just skip, so any books that are in the same style as this would be welcome.
