I guess by "fun," I mean books set in a more fantastical world. I love straight-up horror, I've been reading plenty of it this year, but I'm looking for more spooky-season types of books, that are thrilling and scary but also a little more of the "mood."
Examples: NOS4A2, Meddling Kids, Horror Movie, anything by Grady Hendrix, Mister Magic, Wilder Girls, The Family Fang, Plain Bad Heroines, the Lives of the Mayfair Witches series, etc. I hope that paints enough of a picture of whatever it is that I'm looking for.
Don't worry about suggesting to me a book I've already read. I would absolutely read all of these again…and have, some of them!
