Just watched the movie Challengers, and I loved it. I want to find a book that has a similar feeling (or any other kind of media, really). I’m talking about competition/rivalry between friends over a romantic or sexual partner, but all the people involved are toxic, disingenuous, or selfish. If they’re rivals in something else (like tennis in the movie) that’s a bonus. The closest example I can think of in book form is Wuthering Heights, which I also loved.
