would love to read a book where a character just ponders alot and shares vast insight on the world around them and how it's shaped them
the best example is the bell jar !!
also I can't read fantasy or books that have way too crazy plots so something simple would be nice, kinda like the bell jar 💜

How should a person be? By Sheila heti
Anything by Sally Rooney would do.this perfectly. Her latest Intermezzo is actually my favourite but there’ll all beautiful and features complex characters grappling with deep emotions and thoughts.
Not sure if these fit the bill… have a look:
– Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance
– Sophie’s World
– Siddartha?
An Apprencticeship by Clarice Lispector is almost entirely inner thoughts and reflections of the main character. Plot light, contemplation heavy.
Jane Eyre has a lot of internal monologue.
Sorrow and Bliss by Meg Mason fits this bill.
