When I was in high school, we read this book about a Jewish girl who somehow gets transported back into nazi germany and ends up in a concentration camp (I believe a more well known one like Auschwitz) but anyway, the plot revolves around life in a concentration camp and near the end she dies in the camp, but comes back to her normal time period with the experience in mind as if it happened. I can’t remember if it was a dream or not. I also believe it was some sort of “moral of the story” where the girl didn’t really appreciate her heritage for one reason or another and the experience was supposed to be a lesson.
Anyway if anyone knows what I’m talking about, please let me know! It was almost 20 years ago when I read it and I’d love to re read it
