I am working on learning Spanish and I would like to try reading some books that were written in Spanish. I've been reading books translated into Spanish but thought reading something not translated might be fun. The Spanish I am learning is that of Latin America but Spanish writers will work too. Thanks.

“Love in the Time of Cholera” jumps to mind but I don’t know what sort of books you like to read.
Nuestra parte de noche
Our Share of Night By Mariana Enriquez
It’s a disturbing horror book about a cult in Argentina. It uses the dictatorship period in Argentina as a backdrop, and uses the cult as a sort of allegory to the attrocities committed there during that time.
