      Pet Sematary. Too easy to see my own kids in this situation. Too easy to see myself making all the wrong choices out of grief. It felt too real.

      A Thousand Splendid Suns left me with a deep ache in my heart for so many days after I finished the book.

      The ending of The History of Love had me bawling so unexpectedly.

    6. The Great Alone by Kristen Hannah. It totally wrecked me, and I’m not saying it’s that great of a book. It’s trauma porn for sure. But I legit sobbed throughout the entire book
