I am looking for a fiction book for a friend. She is earthy-crunchy and she really liked A Psalm for the Wild Built (which I have not read). Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
Maybe she would like “The Poppy War” by R.F. Kuang, “All Systems Red” by Martha Wells, “The Left Hand of Darkness” by Ursula K. Le Guin or “The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet” by Becky Chambers ✅

Always Coming Home by Ursula Le Guin or Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. I think all these three books (including Psalm) have interesting things to say about living in harmony with the planet.

Silver in the Wood by Emily Tesh
Small Miracles by Olivia Atwater
Light From Uncommon Stars by Ryka Aoki

She might like Monica Furlong’s novels Juniper, Wild Child, and Colman. Juniper especially.

They may like This is How You Lose the Time War by Amar El-Mohtar

Prodigal Summer by B Kingsolver is literary fiction. Her book Animal Vegetable Mineral is more narrative nonfiction.
Glass-Fault-5112 on
The Tanyth Fairport series.

The Overstory for sure, it’s all about the trees and very well done.

If she doesn’t already have it, there’s a sequel to Psalm, A Prayer for the Crownshy.
