Idk if Leavers is a common term in other countries but it refers to the short time period after graduation and before university, where people often have a large amount of time on their hands.
I recently got three new books but I'm nearly done the first and its been two days, I have till February to fill my time
I'm very open for book recommendations, right now I'm reading more classical dystopian, I loved 1984, and animal farm (is animal farm dystopian?) and right now I'm reading A Clockwork Orange, Fahrenheit 451, and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep
I loved other classics like All's Quiet on the Western Front and The Red Tent, of which is my favourite book
I also love splatterpunk books such as Playground, Cows, and Things have gotten worse since we last spoke so I'm not against a gory story
I'd honestly love more dystopian book recs, they're really fun for me, I also really prefer descriptive texts that have real world influence and find fantasy novels a bit silly. Kinda interested in things about radiation poisoning or things of that such, I love when the wind blows and the colour of space and would love a more in depth book about it possibly, But I'm open to any recs

As you like dystopian novels I’d recommend We by Yevgeny Zamyatin – it influenced 1984
{{ They by Kay Dick }}
{{ The Cremator by Ladislav Fuks }}
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
Babel by R. F. Kuang
Silo series by Hugh Howey
It’s so crazy to me that the US is like the only country where it isn’t normal to take a year off after high school and travel the world.
Yes dystopian—also my jam. I’m on a big JG Ballard kick right now. Lots of short stories but also novels. Like Philip K. Dick but _actually coherent_.
