bonus points if it has a pretty unique plot/main character and was published within the last 10-15 years, but not totally necessary 🫶 i’ve already read my year of rest and relaxation so not that one

I really liked *Friends Like These* by Meg Rosoff, it transports you to a Manhattan summer in 1983.
