I’m buying a book for my mom and she really dislikes romance in her fantasy books so I was wondering if anybody had some recommendations? Pre existing romance and side romance its fine just not anything developmental with the main character. Thanks! :))

How much fantasy has she read? Is The Lord of the Rings a dumb suggestion?

Most fun I’ve had reading in a long time.
I haven’t read the series but Lies of Locke Lamora was a ton of fun.
